Even though it was a little gray and rainy outside we still had a fun fun start to the weekend!
First we went to the hospital- and it was my last day shadowing the nourissons (=infant ward). And it was kind of sad... but I will still be on the same floor next week just with older children, so I can keep an eye on all those precious little sick bebes!!
Then moi, Lorraine, Ashley, Vera, Annalise, and Melissa went back to my host-apt to buy some tickets for future travels!!! Me, Lorraine, Vera, and Annalinse are headed off to Paris next weekend and Melissa and Ashley off to Barcalona!!! Will be sooo much fun :)
Then we hopped on a train to Monaco to see the beautiful city (and all its beautiful people!!!). We just kind of wandered around for a couple of hours and it was sooo beautiful. We walked up this gigantic hill to see the palais, and then walked through these tiny little old streets, and then down by the port, and then around the casino/shops where I could never afford anything, and then back to the train-station to come back to nice. Mmmm it was a nice relaxing afternoon! About half way through we met up with the others.... so that was parfait!!
Then for diner we (about ten of us) went to vieux-nice to eat diner and got some yummy pizza... and the "biggest dessert of all time" (according to the menu "essayez de le finir" =try to finish it!) So me, Mel, Nick and Sarg thought "A CHALLENGE" and so we ordered it to split between the four of us. Well turns out it was just about the size of any American dessert you would get a a restaurant- so well we finished it haha. And it was so delicious... a big bowl full of three different kinds of chocolate mousse... mmmm.Apres le diner, we went to Alejandro's host-apt and just kinda hung out in the living room for a little while- chatted. listened to music a lil bit, had a biere.
